At Tartu Elektriteater, 13 short films by Alice Guy from the early years of cinema will be screened on December 28 (50 min). The screening will also include the animated film "1895" (29 min) by Priit Pärn and Janno Põldma, made for the centenary of cinema and awarded the Estonian Film Journalists’ Association prize for Best Estonian Film of the Year, as well as "Žanri sünd" (17 min), an experimental educational film by Elbert Tuganov, the founder of the Estonian puppet film tradition, about the emergence and development of animated film.
