Moonstruck

Loretta Castorini (Cher) is a young widow living with her parents in Brooklyn Heights, New York. Loretta’s boyfriend Johnny (Danny Aiello) proposes to her and asks her to invite his brother Ronny (Nicolas Cage) to their wedding in person. When Johnny leaves for a trip to Sicily, Loretta and Ronny fall in love instead. Loretta begins a journey of self discovery to find out who she’s really committed to.

“Moonstruck” is a real gem of the romantic comedy genre. The film was nominated for 6 Oscars at the 1988 awards and won two - Best Actress for Cher, Best Supporting Actress for Olympia Dukakis and Best Original Screenplay for John Patrick Stanley. In 2018 Billboard magazine ranked Cher’s work the all-time greatest acting performance by a musician.
