Daniel, a physicist is committed to solving the endless mysteries of the universe yet is aimless and unsure of the direction of his own life. When he meets his new neighbor Anna, he finds it impossible to understand her confidence and surefooted stance on life. Daniel becomes obsessed with Anna's idea of light as a metaphor for humanity and descends into a state where reality and imagination conflate. Daniel must figure out if the meaning of life is something to be discovered or something to choose for ourselves.
