Everglow

The movie begins with the struggle of a producer-director Kyung-hoon, who visits Jeju island to make a documentary about Jin-ok, a female diver. Kyung-hoon's work becomes a sincere mission for the souls buried in the deep sea and mountains. Throughout the film an unconventional love story between the two leads unfolds.

The female diver is played by Goh Doo-shim who won the Best Actress award at the Asian Film Festival for “Everglow”. She is one of the most admired actresses in modern Korean cinema and theatre having earned Korea’s highest actress prize (Daesang) 7 times for works such as “The Dancing Gayageum”, “My Husband’s Woman” and “Ode to the Han River”.

The movie is in Korean with English subtitles.

The screening is organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Estonia and the University of Tartu Korean Culture Club.
